So what’s on the menu?
Claridge's offer an ever-changing seasonal menu, with a beautiful selection of traditional and modern sandwiches, cakes and desserts, tea and champagne. Sandwiches includes truffle egg mayonnaise and watercress on white bread & smoked salmon and dill crème fraîche on rye bread.
For sweet treats they are offering pear and almond bourdaloue tart and pineapple & kaffir lime pavlova. And of course no afternoon tea is complete without scones which are accompanied by premium jam and Rodda’s Cornish clotted cream.
The heart of Claridge’s afternoon tea has always been the tea. With 150 years’ experience, they really have perfected the art of the ultimate cup of tea. They offer hand-picked teas from origins such as India, Sri Lanka, African and China, so you are sure to be transported when trying their hot beverages!

Opened in 1931, The Dorchester has become one of London’s most renowned and luxurious hotels. In 2018, The Dorchester was awarded Highly Commended certificate at the Afternoon Tea Awards, so it is a perfect choice for a Mother’s Day treat!

So what’s on the menu?
The menu includes a variety of gourmet sandwiches from prawn cocktail, baby gem lettuce and lemon balm on white bread to pastrami with watercress, chardonnay mustard mayonnaise on multigrain bread.
And for desserts, they have an constantly changing menu with highlights such as the ‘Raspberry Rose’; a vanilla sponge with a cranberry white chocolate ganache, raspberry rose cremeux and pink white chocolate glaze.
A traditional afternoon must include scones, jam and cream. The Dorchester serve warm plain and raisin cones from their bakery, with homemade strawberry jam, a seasonal jam and Cornish clotted cream.
For the tea selection, the hotel offer a choice of specially selected grand and rare teas, which includes exclusive teas blended just for the hotel such as the Dorchester Breakfast and seasonal flower blend.

The Ritz has been serving Afternoon tea for nearly 120 years and is still famous for their old school glamour and traditional elegance today. If you are wanting to treat your mum to a truly special day then this is the place to go!
So what’s on the menu?
The Ritz offer a selection of delicious and traditional sandwiches including breast of chicken with tarragon creamed mayonnaise on malt bread & Scottish smoked salmon with lemon butter on sourdough bread.
The sandwiches are complimented with an assortment of seasonal French pastries and cakes, freshly baked plain and raisin scones served with Cornish clotted cream and strawberry preserve.
And to drink, the hotel have a selection of 18 teas to choose from including Moroccan mint, the Ritz Royal English and rose congou. Or if you prefer, you can have a glass of Ritz champagne to add a little more luxury to the meal!

The Connaught’s subtle elegance and sense of British refinement has made it one of London’s finest hotels. In 2023, the Connaught is offering a special Mother’s Day Afternoon tea experience so customers can celebrate the holiday in style.
So what’s on the menu?
Their classic sandwich selection includes St. Ewe Organic egg mayonnaise, pommery mustard and dill & cucumber & brown butter herb cream cheese with wild rocket and capers.
Desserts include lemon cake with yuzu glaze, bergamot cremeux and candied lemon & passion fruit and banana choux with mango compote and coconut chantilly.
And for scones, they offer plain and wholemeal raisin scones with strawberry & clementine and vanilla jam and Cornish clotted cream.
As for the main event, the Connaught offer a wonderful tea selection with options such as Assam Breakfast Tea, Ali Shan Oolong and Jasmine Silver Needle. Or if you are wanting some bubbly, you can have a glass of Dom Perignon, Laurent-Perrier Brut Rosé or Muscadelle sparkling grape juice.
