Cesar Nieto
For nearly 80 years, Cesar Nieto has used free-range farming and traditional know-how to offer their customers high-quality Ibérico pig products.
Founded in 1943 by Alonso Nieto Manzano, today the company still follows the same traditional techniques of Ibérico Pig rearing and butchering that has been passed down through the generations.
Every pig that is slaughtered at César Nieto is directly controlled by the Nieto family, and they select only the very best animals. With total control over the whole process, the company offers full traceability.
The company has a real passion for quality, starting with the rearing of their pigs. The Ibérico Pig is a breed with a high proportion of fat, giving it a wonderful flavour.
The animals are allowed to roam free in luscious meadows that are perfect for grazing in spring/summer. In winter, the farmland has an abundance of chestnut and oak trees for the pigs to feed off, which is a vital stage in the fattening process. The acorn-fed pigs reach 14 months before slaughter and exceed 165kg.
