Les Fermiers Landais
Based in St Sever, France, Les Fermiers Landais specialises in "Label Rouge" chicken and "yellow skin chicken." For more than 40 years, Les Fermiers Landais has advocated free-range rearing under the pine trees in their famous portable huts.
In 1965 Les Fermiers Landais were awarded the first "Label Rouge" in history because of their semi-wild chicken breeding in France.
Les Fermiers Landais free-range chicken was voted product of the year in 2005. All their birds are processed in accordance with the strictest hygiene and traceability standards to guarantee total safety.
Free-range yellow chickens are raised for a minimum of 81 days in specially designed shelters. Their diet is 100% plant-based, based on locally produced grains from farmers, soybeans and alfalfa. This diet rich in vitamins, calcium and magnesium, combined with the chickens' lifestyle, makes the meat especially tasty and tender. Some are corn-fed to produce the "yellow skin chicken."
