Domaine De La Pertuade
Between Sea and Hills, the birth of a hidden vineyard. In the heart of the Côtes de Provence, on 15 hectares of vines between Hyères and Saint-Tropez, the property is hidden in a natural setting between sea and hills.
La Pertuade in Provençal means «the lost place». Not quite far from the truth, away but not too far from the seaside’s frenzy in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, the vineyard is discovered at the end of a path, which leads to the beautiful dam of La Verne, downstream of La Chartreuse of the same name.
The Domaine de La Pertuade, a little paradise surrounded by lovely hills, benefits from an exceptional terroir which flourishes typical varieties of Provence: Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Tibouren, Ugni Blanc and Rolle. Rose, white, and red wines are perfect for summer and winter alike.
The two first cuvees’ names – Le Domaine and l’Embrun (mist) – was not chosen at random but to pay tribute to the village of La Mole called ‘a town between sea and hills’; it’s a way of affirming Domaine de la Pertuade’s anchor in this terroir to which it owes so much.
