Maldon Salt

Since 1882, Maldon Salt has been practising the same traditional artisan methods from the coastal town of Maldon. Today, it is still a family business, ensuring the consistency of its sea salt.

Four generations of master salt makers have been hand-harvesting the naturally formed pyramid crystals that have become their signature. The flakes release their saltiness with sweet precision, a fresh intensity, and a clean taste. The making of Maldon Salt is like no other, there is an art in temperature and timing.

Traditional methods and time-honoured techniques are the reason why their salt is so unique.

The company is highly recognised for its quality and in 2012, they were granted a Royal Warrant as the official purveyors of sea salt.
