Black Garlic is a unique and complex ingredient. Made by ageing garlic bulbs through a slow heating process over several weeks, the sugar reacts with amino acids to produce melanoidin, giving it its black appearance, soft texture and rich, sweet flavour with notes of liquorice and balsamic.
Black Garlic is wonderful for adding depth to soups and marinades.
