Hospitality Action's Winter Chefs’ Dinner 2024 Raises £90K

- Categories : News & Events

On Monday 28th October, some of London’s finest award-winning chefs cooked up a gastronomical feast for Hospitality Action’s magical fundraising dinner.

For the second year running, we were proud to support Hospitality Action’s annual Winter Chefs’ Dinner in London. This year it was held in the grand Ballroom at the five-star hotel, Raffles London The OWO.

This annual dinner is an exclusive, money-can’t-buy dining experience showcasing and celebrating the work of Hospitality Action in the presence of culinary greatness.

We supported the event by supplying the ingredients for Bomee Ki’s dessert course on Menu One. Bomee is a pastry chef and co-owner of Michelin-starred Sollip restaurant, where she blends modern and classic French techniques with ingredients from her homeland. Bomee’s dessert was a Mont Blanc with chestnut cream, pine nut praline, and tonka bean chantilly, for which we kindly sponsored the ingredients.

Hosted by award-winning chef Sabrina Ghayour, the event featured two exceptional menus cooked by eight talented guest chefs.

The stellar lineup of award-winning chefs included:

  • Claude Bosi, Claude Bosi at Bibendum
  • Robin Gill, Darby’s
  • Endo Kazutoshi, Endo at the Rotunda
  • Bomee Ki, Sollip
  • Jonny Lake, Trivet
  • Ashley Palmer-Watts, The Devonshire
  • Tomos Parry, Brat
  • Cynthia Shanmugalingam, Rambutan

Endo, Claude, Ashley and Bomee put together the courses for Menu One. Including a scallop chawanmushi to start, delicious Cornish monkfish for the fish course, beef cheek and Guinness suet pudding for the main and an outstanding Mont Blanc dessert.

Tomos, Cynthia, Jonny and Robin put together the courses for Menu Two. Including mouth-watering cured sea bass with chilled garlic almond soup to start, saffron kool broth with hake and clams for the fish course, grilled Lake District Farmers heritage breed ribeye for the main and an incredible dessert of Achill salted caramel, Original Beans cacao truffles & Guinness ice.

The evening also saw the introduction of three annual award categories.

  • Their 2024 Supporter of the Year Award was awarded to Chris Mitchell and Robert Gray of Genuine Dining.
  • Corporate Supporter of the Year Award awarded to Imperial London Hotels.
  • William Baxter Outstanding Contribution Award awarded to Sketch.

An incredible £90,000 was raised during this gastronomical feast! Every penny raised will help transform thousands of hospitality households facing extreme food and fuel poverty and poor mental health, associated with the cost-of-living crisis.
